Example of rusting metal, butterfly and resin artwork.

I enjoy rummaging around scrap yards looking for metal plates with surfaces that have rusted into interesting patterns. I create designs around these patterns using images of butterfly wings, copper powder, foil, and wire.

I think the colours of the metal and the butterfly wings complement each other. I like the contrast of the solid weight of the metal and floating ethereal quality of the butterfly wings.

I will be selling a variety of sizes at the Bath Christmas market 2010.

Prices will range from £15.00 up to £120.00
